RECREATION PROGRAM INFORMATION
Our program provides a fun and exciting environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Our league consists of multiple divisions for players ages 3 to 14. Roxbury Softball offers a variety of camps, leagues, and games throughout the year.
Spring Recreation Programs
Please review the information below on our spring programs. An Early Bird discount is available until February 1st, and registration will close on mid March. Registration made after the deadline will result in an extra $15 fee to cover the cost of the late uniform order.

Softball T-Ball (Clinic) | Ages 3 - 4 | Our T-Ball Clinic program is designed to to provide a foundation and introduction to softball that is grounded in fundamentals and fun. It runs on Sundays for 6 weeks from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Weeks 1 and 2 run as group stations, week 3 is a team practice and weeks 4-6 are mini games. Players must turn 3 by January 1 to be eligible.

Farm Softball | Ages 5 - 6 | Farm Softball Players begin the season using tees but will transition to coach pitch once players show consistency with hitting. Coaches will teach players the fundamentals of throwing and fielding, while also teaching the girls base running.

Rookie Softball |
Ages 6 - 8 |
Rookie Softball League combines coach pitch and introduces player pitch at 35 feet. Players begin to learn higher levels of softball by incorporating such aspects of the game as playing multiple positions and learning how to pitch. The league rules still contain some modifications to encourage players to develop their skills.

Minors | Ages 9-11 | Minors Softball League consists of player pitch at 35 feet from home plate and a conventional 60 foot diamond. Players will pitch the whole game and there will be more competitive play. This league will play combined games with Randolph Rec Softball League so games will be played in Roxbury and Randolph.

Majors | Ages 12-14 | Majors Softball League moves up to a 12 inch ball with player pitch at 40 feet from home plate and a conventional 60 foot diamond. This competitive program is to prepare players to move to high school level play. This league will play combined games with Randolph Rec Softball League so games will be played in Roxbury and Randolph.

RSA 2021 Winter Clinic - Due to the pandemic, our winter clinic has been cancelled for 2021.
Improve your game and have some fun! Our Winter Training Clinic is available for girls born between the years of 2009-2014 and who live in Roxbury, Mt. Arlington or Mine Hill. All are welcome to attend our clinic - players from rec leagues, travel leagues and those who are new to softball. Our sessions are filled with fundamental instruction, drills, games and fun led by Roxbury Rebels Travel Coaches, Rec League coaches and Roxbury High School players. It takes place at Lincoln Roosevelt Gym in Succasunna. Space is limited and pre-registration is mandatory.

Girls 8U SessionFour Sundays | Birth years of 2011-2014 | From building the perfect swing to learning how to get the most from your throw, this session will teach the basics for our new players and focus on building a strong mechanics base for our experienced players. All skill levels are welcome. No prior softball experience needed.

Girls 10U SessionFour Sundays | Birth years of 2009-2010 | Start your spring season right by sharpening all your skills by getting hands-on instruction by completing stations and drills. This session is provide instruction for hitting, fielding, throwing, catching and base running. All skill levels are welcome. No prior softball experience needed.
